The Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Journey....

Well I have been seeing the Weight loss Doctor that is going to be doing my VSG - Vertical Sleeve gastrectomy. It's a weight loss surgery. They will be making my stomach into a banana shape. So I will be only eating 4-5 oz at a time. My health insurance from work is covering this except the copay portion of it which I am going to set up with payroll deduct each check.


I have been starting seeing the doctor back in Jan 2011 and then he said I needed to see his wife which is a internal med and she will be doing my 6 month diet eval for the insurance company. So this month Aug 22nd is my appt and it will be my last visit. Then they will do all there documation that they need to do and fax it in to the insurance company and it will take about a week to get an answer. So I am looking at Sept 8th to get it done .

I go this monday to get my blood work done an ultrasound of my gallbladder for the pre determination for the surgery and insurance company. Also monday I am going to talk with the business office and find out and make sure what the copay is and how much and so forth and get that all straight. Then I will call HR and talk to them and find out what papers I need to get filled out and to get my Short Term applied after 15 days. I signed up for the short term plan of starting at 15days instead of 180 days. So I have enough PTO right now to get me through 2 weeks of 12 hour shifts 3 days of week and then my Short term will kick in. they say 3-4 weeks out. Well see because I lift alot at work and so forth but I want to get back as soon as I can but make sure I am well.

Update ~

Well sorry it's been a while since I have blogged but things have been up and down busy and just forgot to come and blog on the down days ! Just took jewel to the vet last week on Wednesday for her yearly check up and shots, she has lost 3 lbs since last year but still need more to go if possible. But she is happy as can be ! The vet said I could cut all my girls food back 1/4 except for lil sakura since she is HAPPY as can be and is stable with her insulin 7 units am and pm we will leave her where she is at. She could loose a few pounds but the vet said hold for now.

Trisden is happy happy girl like always ! I did ask the vet about jewel & Trisden's tear stains and some stains elsewhere and he said to give them bendryl 25mg once a day so I am doing that. So we will see if there eye's and stains clear up ! I hope , poor girls !

Got a IPAD2 ~

I decided my laptop was 5 years old about and I was wanting an IPAD 2. well why I decided to get one was because my camera wasn't working on my laptop, so when my hubby was out of town we couldn't skipe or video chat and he couldn't see the girls and I . So when we get the baby when he is away we can FaceTime. It's a great feature thanks to apple !!!!
So I put it on craigslist for $500 and within a day it sold.. YEP it was a pink sony Vaio and it was in well kept condition. I was so excited and Jose got my IPAD from the Apple store where he orders his works computers from and they gave him a discount since he is a great business customer. So that was a great day and deal !

Memorial Day weekend 2011~

Well yep we got to get away and enjoy the weekend with my side of the family and it sure was relaxing and fun ! we went golfing and had a blast. I sure miss golfing but the heat stinks but it's well worth having fun and releaving some stress... The Girls AKA fur babies went to Dog day afternoon in sanford and they had a BLAST and enjoyed socializing with all there friends. I will post some pic's of this weekend soon.
